This stunning bracelet has been made from a Georgian pair of sugar tongs. This piece is quite different as it no longer has the spoons at each end of the tongs, instead a sterling silver safety chain and handmade bails secure the bracelet on the wrist. Dating back to 1798 and originally hallmarked at the London Assay office , it carries the families initials, A.C. Initialling your cutlery was considered to be a sign of wealth in many of the larger households many years ago. The bracelet sits perfectly on the wrist and can be altered in size.
Weighs, 22.7g.
As with all my sterling silver cutlery jewellery that carries the original hallmark, this will be issued with a certificate from the 'Sheffield Assay Office', showing its original date and place of hallmark, together with a certificate number that will be shown on the certificate & present on the inside of the bracelet.
All sterling silver bracelets come in a hessian pouch.
